Scout is the heart of the household. Though we are always "boss", Scout maintains order and discipline amongst the other dogs. She and Fowler are best friends and the younger pups will do anything to get her attention.

Scout is our first dog, and though not a Drent, she holds a very special place in our hearts. Scout was bred by Skywatcher Chesapeakes in WA state and joined us in June 2009.
Scout is a true Chessie, and we joke that she keeps the Drents in-line. Scout could be a great bird dog if she wanted to, but her preferred activities are dock diving and agility, or anything that involves balls and water. Scout was a mischievous puppy and is extremely smart. Underneath all her Chessie stubbornness is a huge desire to please. |
